My next #breakfast destination is hidden between iş hans (office blocks) and bazaars in Karaköy. It's not located where the most fashionable coffee shops in Tophane/Karaköy area are, but it's on the other side of Karaköy, close to the Arab camii and just behind the Tünel entrance.

Dem Karaköy is definitely my cup of tea: beautiful interior design infused with the smell of freshly infused tea and, of course, a good breakfast. Besides the usual simit, bal and kaymak and omelette choices, here they offer also more healthy breakfast options: avocado toasts and salads. And a variety of tea to choose from. I am sorry, but coffee lovers won't be happy in this tea heaven: they don't serve any type of coffee, except the basic Turkish coffee.
What was my choice? Omelette with avocado salad and Chai tea. I loved small green olives in yummy olive oil that were served on the side.
It's a small place and gets pretty busy on weekends, so I recommend you to reserve your spot. I came during the week when it was pretty empty. If you are searching for place to work during the week and you had enough of Starbucks, then this might be a good alternative.
